EcoVadis in Gold and Sustainability Report 2025

The new 2025 Sustainability Report highlights the successes and progress of the arburgGREENworld programme worldwide, backed up by compelling facts, figures and activities. It highlights, for example, resource efficiency, circular economy and the carbon footprint, as well as ARBURG’s overall ESG strategy.

The fact that ARBURG continued to operate in a sustainable manner in 2025 is demonstrated by the company being awarded the EcoVadis Gold rating for the third year running, despite the criteria becoming more demanding with each passing year. Compared with the previous year, ARBURG had improved once again in all categories from a total of 78 to 83 points – ranking it among the top 2% of more than 100,000 companies. Furthermore, the ‘B’ rating in the 2025 CDP assessment bestows ARBURG an above average position compared to other engineering companies in the areas of climate protection, ecology and CO₂ emissions. ARBURG not only operates in a resource-efficient manner itself but is also a solution partner for its customers in the field of sustainable plastics processing.

The success of the activities and measures relating to resource efficiency, the circular economy and the carbon footprint is demonstrated by the following figures:
• In 2025, ARBURG’s electricity mix had a carbon footprint up to 86% lower than that of the German electricity mix.
• In 2025, ARBURG generated around 2,900,000 kWh of solar power for its own use with its own photovoltaic systems.
• The proportion of self-generated electricity from renewable sources stood at almost 16%.
• 140,000 t of CO₂ emissions were saved between 2010 and 2025.
• Almost 30%Arburg’s total water consumption comes from rainwater collected in cisterns.
• In 2025, Arburg recycled 77% of total waste it generated.
